Magical Tikal

The Maya of Mesoamerica reached remarkable intellectual and artistic heights as far back as 3.114B.C. when they began the calendar still in use today. They built huge temples, pyramids, stone monuments, and made major advances in mathematics and astronomy, and a hieroglyphic scripts. But the ancient civilization collapsed 950A.D. The ancient Mayas migrated to the Guatemalan highlands.

Tikal was an important center during their classic period. It is often called the soul of the earth. This magical place is guaranteed to be a great adventure. Of the park’s 222 square miles, there are over 3,000 separate buildings have been revealed: temples, shrines, ceremonial platforms, residences, ball courts, terraces, causeways and plazas. The exuberant fauna and plant life are amazing.

The easiest way to visit is through a package so that you may maximize your time and enjoyment.

We offer a ONE DAY PACKAGE and a TWO DAYS PACKAGE

We have 2 packages (see tab “Tour Packages” above) that we offer including a One Day Trip and at hotels on the Island of Flores – about one hour from Tikal National Park. The island affords more fun at night and electricity after nightfall (not available at the hotels in the Tikal National Park). We are also happy to make other accommodations for you. TIKAL ONE DAY PACKAGE

A visit to Tikal is a trip you will always remember as you experience the ancient Maya temples and rainforest wildlife. A 4am shuttle takes you from your hotel to the GUA airport for a 45-minute flight. Shuttle to the Tikal National Park to for your expert guided visit of Complex Q & R, Temples I, II, III and IV, Plaza Central, Central and North Acropolis and Mundo Perdido. Late lunch and shuttle to the Island of Flores for a visit before checking-in at the airport for your return flight and shuttle to Antigua to return at 10pm.

TWO DAYS/OVERNIGHT IN FLORES WITH TAG AIRLINES (PM/PM)

An overnight trip to the incredible island of Flores and a visit to Tikal is a trip to cherish! Experience the ancient Maya temples and rainforest wildlife with spectacular views of Lake Petén Itzá. A 2pm shuttle from your hotel to the GUA airport for a 45-minute flight. Enjoy an overnight in Flores and then morning shuttle to the Tikal National Park to for an expert guided visit of Complex Q & R, Temples I, II, III and IV, Plaza Central, Central & North Acropolis and Mundo Perdido. Late lunch and shuttle to Flores before checking-in at the airport for your return flight and shuttle to Antigua at 10pm.
