One Day Hike Up Acatenango Volcano

Acatenango is one of the highest volcanoes in Guatemala and affords the most spectacular views. Reaching an elevation of 13,044 feet, you overlook the adjacent active Volcano Fuego, highlands and cloud forest. It has a reputation for being a tough but beautiful hike with epic views. Depart from your hotel in Antigua for a private shuttle to begin your hike with a local expert guide. Lunch on the summit is a highlight. Adjacent Volcano Fuego may put on a show with plumes of smoke and red hot rocks. After your memorable journey, hike back to the camp to return to Antigua.
