Welcome to Santo Domingo del Cerro (500 meters from the entrance to the city of La Antigua Guatemala, to the left you will find the cobblestone road that leads to the Cultural Center.)
We have three permanent museums of important guatemalan figures and several art galleries with temporary exhibits of guest artists.
Some museums might be closed at the time of your visit so we suggest contacting Concierge in the Hotel in advance for more information - T. (502) 78201220
Part of the route is outdoors, in summer we suggest wearing sunscreen and hat and in winter brin parasol.

The Museums and Galleries close at 6 pm without prior notice.
MUSEO DEL PAPA
It is located on the ground floor of the Chapel Santo Hermano Pedro de Betancourt. It shows the furnishings and decorative objects that where originally used in the sacristy that hosted Pope John Paul II on his last visit to Guatemala. The distribution of space is a replica of the sacristy.
MUSEO MIGUEL ANGEL ASTURIAS
This biographical museum contains personal pieces of the Nobel Prize for Literature. A bust of the writer by Manolo Gallardo is displayed in the garden.

MUSEO EFRAÍN RECINOS
This biographical museum contains personal pieces of the Master as well as prizes, trophies and diplomas that were awarded by different Guatemalan institutions. Photos of the artist from childhood to adulthood are also on display.

GALERÍAS Y SALAS DE ARTE
It contains ample spaces for national and foreing artists to show their most recent work in temporary exhibits of three to six months.
